Ways to join the team

for everyone

We welcome anyone and everyone to apply to join our team but we prioritize applications from marginalized groups, especially those who are non-heteronormative and/or gender diverse. Lived experience in any context will also always be prioritized.

format for applications

We accept cover letters in written, voice or video formats and would prefer resumes in written format. Feel free to send us whatever is most comfortable for you! Please send your resumes and cover letters to our team through our contact form on this site or directly to sarah@diverserootstherapy.com.

For potential practicum Students

We are consistently accepting students to do their practicum placements at Diverse Roots. For Yorkville students, we are always accepting applications and Erica will reach out to set up interviews about a month before the school’s deadline for that trimester. For students from all other schools, feel free to send your application in at any point. We are happy to accommodate most placements if we feel that there is a mutually good fit.

For potential employees

We are a rapidly growing team and would love to continue to expand our amazing group of therapists. We ask that anyone who applies to be a therapist at Diverse Roots identifies as queer and/or trans/non-binary in order to have those who serve our community of practice also be community members themselves.

for rct-c's

Erica routinely takes on RCT-C’s for their mandatory 2 to 5 year supervision process to become fully licensed. They do not have many spots open at the moment but feel free to apply and connect with us.

for Workshops/consultations

We are working on expanding our offerings for workshop-based presentations to provide to the public, whether they are members of our community or not. Our team members would be happy to come speak at your workplace, school or organization to provide training around queerness, gender diversity, mental health, neurodivergence and more!
